One of OPI’s biggest collections last year was the Brazil Collection.
I fell head-over-heals in love with this collection… I don’t know if it is my South American background but I felt the collection was made for me and somehow I ended up getting all 12 shades. (full swatch post to come) I have been waiting for our summer to come around to pull them out because they scream hot weather, beach and parties.
“Where did Suzi’s Man-go?’ (lets take a minute to talk about the name) is what I would call a pastel neon orange with a creamy opaque finish.
On application of the first coat I wasn’t to sure how it would go as it was very streaky. Probably the streakiest polish I have ever used. I find if you put a thin 1st coat and a slightly thicker second coat it applies evenly. You definitely need more than 2 thin coats as you can still see streaks and that is not cute.
Add a high shine top coat, I use Shellac’d by OCC (available at Lipstick Republic) this shade is beautiful.
If you tan at all this is one of those polishes that accentuate your tan and makes you feel like drinking cocktails on an island.
Overall the formulation is a bit disappointing BUT once you know how to work it the finish ends up fine so I can’t really complain. I also find that using this topcoat by OCC I actually get 2 days wear out of an OPI polish instead of the usual 7-10 hours before chipping.
Do you like this colour? Did you get anything from the Brazil Collection?
