A few months ago Tarte released the Tartelette Palette which originally I thought was going to be a limited edition, but the good news is it has been added to their permanent range.
The Tartelette palette is completely matte palette which contains 12 eyeshadows. The eyeshadows are 1.5gms each and contain Tarte’s famous long-lasting Amazonian clay. There are a mixture of warm neutrals and cool neutrals with a few different purples thrown in there for a touch of colour.
I think this palette is well thought out and perfect for traveling as it is sleek, with a good mirror and with the shade range easy to create those ‘day to night’ looks.
The packaging is sleek and plastic, but I find it to feel quite cheap. I feel that if it was dropped the plastic could break easily and it doesn’t feel as solid as some other palettes I have which is a slight disappointment because it doesn’t come with a cheap price tag.
The shadows themselves are highly pigmented and blend out amazingly which was a nice surprise. I find that matte shadows are usually the hardest to get right in the formulation department but this one seems to be on point.
The colours you get are:
Free spirit – a true cream
Force of nature – a light warn nude
Dreamer – a mid tone warm brown
Multi-tasker – a deeper chocolate-brown
Caregiver – a pale pink
Natural beauty – a mid tone mauve
Best friend – a mid tone berry pink
Bombshell – a dark plum
Super mom – a pale ivory
Wanderer – a cool toned light brown
Power player – a mid tone taupe
Fashionista – black
Here are some swatches:

You can see more of my thoughts on this palette here:
Pros:
– Great all round matte palette
– Shades allow for a ‘Day to Night’ look
– A versatile palette to suit all ages
– Quality of the shadows are fantastic!
Cons:
– I personally think it;s missing something, I feel like there could have been a slightly warmer brown to add a bit more variety. I tend to want to reach for another eyeshadow when using this. This is of course a personal choice and be being picky.
You can see me using this palette in my ‘Smokey Purple Halo Eye’ Makeup Tutorial.
Overall I really like this palette, I think if you like cool tones you would love this palette and I can understand the hype. I think Tarte really have done a great job putting this together and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an all round matte palette.

July 14, 2015That looks like a beautiful palette! I love the shades and am glad to hear that they’re pigmented and easy to blend. I’ve been on the hunt for a new palette and will have to look at this in person. x- Victoria
