So as I was filming what I thought was my last skincare month video, it occurred to me that while I thought I had included serums, it turns out that I hadn’t.
At that point I hadn’t filmed, edited and uploaded so to add a section it would have been way too annoying, so I am here today to quickly mention my 3 serums that I have in my collection.
The ones that I have are:
Dr Brandt Overnight Resurfacing Serum – This is a serum I have managed to get a few samples of over time, those samples were enough to have me fall in love with the serum almost instantly. In the morning after applying this I felt my skin was softer, some blemishes had cleared up and my skin just looked brighter and fresher in general. I like this because you can see the results fast which is what I expect when I am spending over $100 for a skincare item. I apply one or 2 pumps overnight under my night cream and the retinol in it causes cell renewal over night. Anyone who has skin ageing as an issue of even for preventative ageing, you need to try this.
You can get Dr Brandt Overnight Resurfacing Serum is available from Mecca Cosmetica for $112/50mL
Benefit Instant Comeback Facial Serum – This serum is designed to put hydration back into tired and dehydrated skin. At first I didn’t think this serum did anything, I just started using it because it was there and I was working for benefit when it came out so we were giving a bottle to try out and get used to before it was available for purchase. Then i stopped using it for a few days, and I could notice a difference. my skin felt more textured, dry and it just looked a bit ‘flat’. It’s certainly not an ‘instant result’ serum but if you continue using it for about a week you will certainly feel a difference in you skin.
Antipodes Hosanna H2O Intensive Skin-plumping Serum – This serum is think with a rich caramel colour. Personally the colour does turn me off which is why I don’t reach for it as much as I should. On the other hand, when I have used it, I have noticed a difference. My skin is feeling fresher, not as dull, and I don’t wake up with dry and tight skin. I think this certainly a goo serum for those who are combating dryness and dehydration. It’s also made of organic and natural ingredients which is a bonus.
You can get the Antipodes H20 Intensive Skin-plumping serum from Priceline Pharmacies for $48.99/30mL
The other serum I have is also from Antipodes, but I added that to my face oils section (thinking i had already filmed serums). You can see what I thought about it here.
Make sure you come back on Monday to see what my ultimate favourite skincare products are!
Have you tried any of these serums? What do you recommend I try next?
