Makeup Geek has released 10 new shades of foiled eyeshadows this Spring/Summer and the collection really got me excited. They are a beautiful range of bright metallic pastel shades with a few bright pops of colour.
What is a foiled eyeshadow you ask? It’s an eyeshadow with an intense metallic finish to it. Much like when you wet a brush to apply a loose pigment you get a shiny ‘foiled’ finish – these have that same end result but are pressed into an eyeshadow pan.
The formulation is a little different in that it is so creamy it almost feels wet and looks like it is wet, but it’s not.
I feel that because they feel so wet they would have a tendency to crack a bit, which one of mine did, but I literally just pressed it back into the pan and it fixed itself my moulding back into the pan easily.
You can see my post of the original ten shades here, but in this post I am going to be including all twenty shades in the collection.
You can also click here to see my video on Youtube where I talk a bit more about the colours.

Over all I love these foiled eyeshadows. I think the metallic foiled finish is beautiful and wears well. You can really use these to pack a punch, or you can add a small amount to take an every day look to a new level.
I personally have never had a problem with the shades creasing on me, but if your eyelids are super oily then they do recommend you use a primer first as the formulation of the shadows can have a tendency to settle in lines.
I really love the shade range and think there is a colour here to suit everyone.
The foiled eyeshadows are available individually for $9.99 each or you can get the new 10 Foiled eyeshadows in an ‘Expansion Set‘ for $89 which will save a bit of money and can be put towards some blushes perhaps? (Apologies for being an enabler)
Will you be ordering some foiled eyeshadows? Which are your favourite colours?
