One thing I really need to do is stay more organized. I say that loosely but I really REALLY want to mean it.
I really want to turn my blogging game on super charge this year and to do that I need to plan.
I have previously bought an Erin Condren Life planner which is possibly sitting there looking pretty and getting dusted off occasionally, but I thought I wanted to create something similar for Glossy Confidential – something a bit more practical.
I was browsing the website and saw their notebooks. Now I do have about 500 smaller notebooks that I write some blog ideas down, loose that, write more ideas in another one and then I can’t remember what the other notebook said OR I see a cuter notebook and decide I want that one till the next typo launch and I buy another 5 more notebooks. When I die, my body will be found under a pile of super cute notebooks with 2 pages written on.
I decided that I need one super notebook that is bright and colourful that can’t be lost and that it ONLY for Glossy Confidential.
I chose to order and personalise a 7×9 inch ‘Frame Me’ notebook.
The Notebook has a spiral spine and also comes with a snap in ruler/bookmark type thing – always handy! You can always customise and order your own individual covers in case you are anything like me and get bored with the same thing very quickly!
I had the option to add a 12 month calendar inside which I thought… ‘Yes. I can plan months ahead and have everything in a nice little calendar to remind me every day’.
This to me is how I turn a simple notebook into a proper blog planner. It gives you the ability to plan the entire year ahead, make notes of any upcoming holidays and its right there in front of the notebook.
You can choose the month to start the calendar with, and it is there with no dates printed but you get these colour coordinated date stickers to add in there. Each month has a different colour and matching stickers. LOVE IT!
I chose to create my own snap in customized notebook divider as I want to record my monthly blog/social media statistics. There are heaps of different colours and patters you can choose from.
The notebook itself has 2 kinds of paper, has lined paper and then towards the end is changes to a bordered unlined sheet of paper which is where I will be putting the statistics divider. It’s actually really handy that it was planned out that way.
I am a very visual person who likes bright colours and cute paper and stationery which is why the products from Erin Condren appealed to me. They are really pretty and really high quality – very impressed with this notebook and it’s certainly something I can see myself using and even repurchasing when this one is full.
There were a few other things I grabbed while I was making the order, a snap in weekly meal planer and a wellness journal as motivation to get back into some kind of fitness regime.
You can personalise your own notebook, life planners, any kind of stationery really from the Erin Condren website. Shipping to Australia is reasonable and I got it with in 7 days from ordering. That included them creating the notebook and personalizing everything which I thought was really good.
Let me know in the comments if you have a weird stationery addiction? Tell me that I am not the only one who gets excited by things like this.
