‘Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around’ by OPI is a beautiful light pinky beige nude polish which was released as part of the Brazil collection. I don’t usually wear nudes because, like lipsticks, I can’t quite find the perfect nude for my skin tone.
I have wanted to wear this polish for so long, but I find to wear a nude like this, my nails have to be at a certain length and shape and not broken, which lets be honest, happens about every 3 months. I was half way to painting my nails a different colour this week then I noticed how almost-perfect my nails were today so I jumped at it before I brake yet another nail.
‘Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around’ has a nice opaque finish, does require two coats to reach full opacity as it does apply a little on the streaky side. Not a bad formula at all, but with all OPI polishes I find, leave it a good while between coats to avoid streakiness.
I really love this polish as a nude, I find the pink tone to it really makes it stand out on my skin tone and not look totally flat. It’s certainly one of the best nudes and possibly the only one I have ever thought ‘I want to wear that again’
